Frank Pometti has over 20 years of financial and operational experience spanning a wide range of industries. His expertise encompasses assisting distressed and underperforming companies, and their creditors, in all areas of operational and financial restructuring including interim management, performance improvement, organizational redesign, contingency planning, divestitures, and working capital management.
Frank recently served as chief restructuring officer (CRO) of a West Virginia-based oil & gas exploration and development firm in a successful out-of-court restructuring, and financial advisor to ETX Energy (fka New Gulf Resources), an onshore exploration and development company, in its in-court recapitalization and balance sheet restructuring. Frank was also deputy CRO for Milagro Exploration, an onshore Gulf Coast exploration and development company.
For one of the nation’s largest military construction general contractors, Frank drove the out-of-court asset sale process. For Samsonite, he led the restructuring of the retail business model, driving over $7 million of EBITDA improvement, and assisted in its balance sheet restructuring. Other assignments include advising the Official Committee of Retired Employees of American Airlines, advising the Dynegy court-appointed Examiner, the secured creditors of Aquilex and unsecured investors of New Stream Capital. Frank also has extensive experience providing litigation support involving solvency determinations, fraudulent conveyances and successor liability.
Previously, Frank was chief procurement officer at Marsh & McLennan Companies (managing over $2.5 billion in external spend) and a director of corporate operations, where he drove the restructuring of Marsh’s North American insurance brokerage business. As a management consultant at A.T. Kearney, Frank led business strategy, operational efficiency, process redesign and cost reduction initiatives for clients.
Frank began his career as a U.S. Army military intelligence officer. He has an M.B.A. from Columbia Business School (Beta Gamma Sigma), a B.S. from The U.S. Military Academy at West Point, and is a certified insolvency and restructuring advisor. In 2017, Frank was named by Turnarounds & Workouts as one of its top “People to Watch.”
